Atlases and Maps Online

Students can investigate, locate, select and use a range of information from an atlas - including topographical maps, world maps showing population statistics, industrial and land usage, land degradation, road and transport infrastructure.

Students also gain a global perspective and begin to appreciate the dynamic relationship between natural and social systems.

A number of sites allow older students to build their own maps from geophysical data.
